CONSTRUCTION OF WATER SOURCES LAUNCHED 

Today the 4th of December 2025, the district has launched construction and drilling of water and sanitation facilities for financial year 2025/26.

While addressing the community at a lunching function held at Buyinda Health Centre, the Deputy RDC Mr. Wandera Enock asked the implementers to cooperate and ensure quality work.

The Chief Administrative officer Mr. Bukone Sajjabi Bukone in his communication pledged to ensure the works launched today are fully implemented.

He further urged the communities and leadership where these projects are going to be constructed to monitor and supervise  the works  and report where need be. 

The Senior water Officer Eng Edhaya David in his communication said the communities where these water sources are going to be drilled are supposed to pay 200,000/- (two hundred thousand shillings only) as commitment fee.

He further  urged the community to ensure repair and maintenance of these water sources.

Water sources to be drilled include 
1. Kamutaka village  in kisinda Sub County 
2. Kanantale Primary School in Bumanya Sub County 
3. Busege village in Gadumire Sub County 
4. Nakabale in Kasokwe Sub County 
5. Kalungu Village in Namugongo Sub County 
6. Bedha B Village in Bukamba Sub County 

Other water and sanitation facilities launched include
1. Upgrading Buyuge piped water system in Gadumire Sub County 
2. Construction of a piped water system called Buyinda Health Centre III at the facility.
3. Construction of phase one of  Nairika Pipped water Supply System in Budomero Sub County.
4. Construction of a four stance pit latrine at Buyuge Trading Centre in Gadumire Sub County.
